Goshen Land Trust volunteers work to preserve and protect natural and open land to improve the quality of life for current and future generations.
As most of you know, the Goshen Land Trust is an all-volunteer organization. We have reached our current status through the dedication and hard work of our Board members, past and present as well as our volunteers and donors. As we acquire additional properties, our workload increases. To help spread teh load, we are expanding our Board to the maximum of 15 as currently permitted by our By-Laws. Family Nature Hike
We had fun!! The beavers were nice enough to come out and swim around awhile so we could see them, even the baby! We learned about how beavers help wildlife and create more diversity in our landscape. We learned about mills and had fun hiking up to the mill pond on the Kobylenski Wildlife trail and then splashing around a bit in the stream looking for frogs and water bugs. Wish you had come along? Well, we had so much fun we are thinking about doing it again in later summer when the water bugs get bigger.
Here's some photos from our morning at Pie Hill.
