Take a Hike Out on the Boardwalk!

Picture
Spring is the perfect time to take a hike on our trails! Nervous about going out into the woods? Don't be! Our trails are marked with white blazes (white painted rectangles on trees) and you can go out for an hour or the day! Download our trail map here, pack a snack, and get out there!
The boardwalk in this photo is on the John Ross Trail that has trail heads on Pie Hill Road and East Street South. It is a moderately easy hike (hills are not difficult and although there is some rock hopping, the trail is well marked) that leads you through hemlock forests, open marsh, along the river and above a steep canyon.

President, Chris Craig, accepting the Award
On Friday, September 23, 2011 members of the Goshen Land Trust board of directors attended the annual White Memorial Employee-Trustee Dinner for the presentation.
In the forty-seven years of the award many organizations and people who are well known for their contribution to the importance of conservation and nature education have received this prestigious recognition such as Roger Tory Peterson, the author and illustrator of Peterson Field Guides as well as organizations such as the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association. The Land Trust is very honored to be this year’s recipient.
